making & doing.

Just wanted to share some photos of things I've been working on lately. My knitting & crocheting have been improving so much. I'm so happy. Right now, I'm working on some granny squares for an afghan I'm crocheting. The one above is my first one, and I'm oh so very proud of it :-). I can't wait to have my very own granny square blanket!!

Then, I made these three dishcloths just for fun. I've always loved the look of knitted dishcloths, so I decided to make some for our new home. They were not really a challenge, and were quick & easy. I finished all three of them in one day. Hopefully I'll be able to use them soon!

It started raining Monday morning and wouldn't stop all week. Rain, rain, rain. I was expecting the same this morning, but what did I see? Sunshine :-). It's amazing what a little sun can do for your mood. I feel so happy and have so much energy. I think I'll go outside and play with Greg's parent's dog for a while. She's adorable!

Anything exciting planned for the weekend?
Happy Friday!!

xxx Sabrina

EDIT: I forgot to add the patterns. I learned how to make the granny square from a bunch of different YouTube videos, and I used this pattern to make the dishcloths. I used the brand "Sugar 'n Cream" for the granny square. It's 100% cotton, worsted 4 ply yarn.

  1. Where did you get the yarn and pattern for the dish cloths?

    1. Hey! I edited my post, so you can find a link to the pattern on the bottom of it now ^^. Thanks for reminding me!

Also, I got the yarn from a craft store in Germany. I honestly don't remember the name of it, sorry! It is made out 100% cotton, if that helps.

    1. Haha yea, I'm kind of afraid they'll get dirty! I'm thinking of using them for decoration until I get the courage to actually use them!

      Thank you :-D
